Photos: Barcelona – Palau de la Música Catalana

The Palau de la Música Catalana is a great stop on any trip through the modernist architecture of Barcelona. It’s also one of the best examples of how there were other things going on at the time, apart from all things Antoni Gaudí.

The Palau was designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, and has perhaps the most stunning light found anywhere in Europe due to the wide, glass-clad arches found in two walls and the enormous skylight of stained glass above with a massive inverted dome in shades of gold surrounded by blue that suggests the sun and the sky.
